Helpful Hints for the Best Portraits:
  • Don't wear clothing that has bold, bright, or large patterns. Instead, wear clothing that is muted and classic. These clothes will remain stylish for many years. Also, YOU are what makes the portrait. Don't let your clothing overpower you.
  • Don't wear sleeveless garments. They will make even the thinnest arms look large.
  • Gentlemen, don't forget to wear a long-sleeved shirt underneath your sport jacket. The cuff helps to define your hand and the sleeve of the jacket.
  • If children are to be photographed who have never met Jeff or have never been in his studio, please have them come visit us in advance to give them a chance to meet us, get used to the environment and play with the toys. Often times, children are afraid of new environments. We want you to have a fantastic portrait with a happy child!
  • Bring your own props. Do you play an instrument? Bring it in! (please no grand pianos!) Do you have a hobby (such as painting, scrapbooking or reading)? Do you play a sport? Bring in your uniform as a change of clothing along with your equipment. Do you have a pet you would like to have photographed? Did grandma make you an afghan last Christmas that is very special to you? Did you create a work of art that you would love to have photographed? Be sure to bring it along!!!
  • And, remember, we want you to have the best experience you have ever had having your portrait made, so please tell us if there is anything that we can do to help you!

We also carry a beautiful selection of custom frames, folios and albums to enhance your portraits.  Please ask us for details.
